Greetings All,

I hope everyone is doing well this Holiday Season! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!

On December 13th, The Dive Locker, LLC celebrated its 11 th year in business. We opened the doors on Friday the 13 th , 2002. I have had a blast over the last decade but it is time for me to move on to the next phase of my life. I have been diving since '86, been in the diving industry since '91, and now been on Cape Cod (on and off) since '93. It's time to change careers not hobbies; I'll still go diving (for FUN if you can believe that) and I may even teach a class or two.

I will be closing the store as of Dec 31 st , 2013. I am not sure as to what the final process/outcome will be as to the future of a dive shop at this address. I will offer it for sale as is, sell off the inventory/assets and walk, or let someone come in and take it over under different ownership, etc - I'm open to suggestions and offers!  The last year or so I have been working the store intermittently while doing another job that I truly began to love. If someone were to ask if the store is still a viable money maker, yes! If someone came in and had any business sense or simply brought some “energy” to the place, they could make a decent living. It's a perfect opportunity for someone that wants to continue funding their habit of diving! A turn-key operation – fully furnished with a nice air compressor system and fill station, hydrotest system, service/repair department with parts/tools, a small amount of inventory, displays, website, dealerships, signs, rental gear, dive boat, etc. Everything needed to own/operate a year-round dive shop – including the best asset of all... our customers…some of best people I have ever met! I started with an empty building for about $100,000 in 2002 ( and that was without a boat ) . I would be more than happy to stay on and help out whoever would like to take charge!

I will be having a Going Out Of Business Sale on the Saturday after Christmas! Dec 28 th at 10am!

Thanks to everyone who supported me and The Dive Locker over the years.

Sincerely,

Mike

We are now in on our 11th year (December 13th will be our 10th Anniversary) with eleven (11) complete summer's of diving having passed. We want to thank all of the customers who have made this possible. We are proud to have some of the finest divers in the world as our customers and more proudly than that, we can call them our friends. I personally cannot wait to jump into the water everyday with these great people.

We are in the location that used to be East Coast Divers in Hyannis, MA. It also was called "Field & Sea" about 30 years ago. East Coast Divers closed their doors on the Hyannis location to focus in on the other two stores in Framingham (which is now closed for similar reasons) and Brookline, MA. If you are in Brookline, MA, stop by tell Paul and the gang we said hello.
