2010 CHARTER BOAT SEASON !
Every Weekend in May - October! Many weekday trips!

Call now to book your charter ~ the first two signing up pick the dive site* (Due to the weather and Tides we cannot guarantee all dive sites)

We did a few less trips than last year but the diving was better! The weather didn't always agree with divers but we only lost 5-7 days for wind and a few days that were perfect and there were no divers! We WILL be back at it again next season for our 4th Charter Boat Season! With that lobstering that we did last year, which was THE best EVER, we doubt there will be as many, but we will try our best. See ya next year!

CAPE DIVER CHARTER BOAT SCHEDULE 2010

Charter Recommendations : So when you "Pick Your Dive Site" remember this...

Early in the dive season the visibility is usually much better for the southside of Cape Cod (Vineyard Sound). So we will suggest that wrecks like the Port Hunter to be dove this time of year instead of late June-August. Yes, the waters are much colder at this time, but you have to sacrifice one or the other. Also the Race drift dive off Provincetown is usually best done from late May - mid/late June (water temps 50 degrees and above). We like the Friday days best, but we will dive there ANY day that we have 5 or more divers!!! Call Now to Book Your Dive!!

Summer 2009 was AWESOME for our Charter Boat ! We had dozens of lobsters each trip! Thanks to everyone who went out with us! And a BIG thanks to our Divemasters and Captains!

When you book a charter we'll put it into the "pre-set" schedule!
Remember: Dives in Cape Cod Bay, the Nauset Barges, and the YSD/Winter wrecks are not tide-dependent!

*ALL TRIPS CAN BE CHANGED TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER CONDITIONS ~ SO PRICES MAY GO UP WITH LONGER TRIPS, HARBOR LOCATIONS AND TIMES CAN CHANGE AS WELL!
*When a charter is marked as BOOKED , those Charters were selected by a customer who wishes to fill the boat or one of our dive classes has filled the boat. You may get on the stand-by list ~ we have frequent cancellations!

Booking a Charter: In order to book these charters, we'll need you to call or stop by the store with your Credit Card # and Cert. Card(s).
Copy of Charter Dive Waiver
. Please fill out and bring with you to the boat! Thanks

Remember: A reservation made is a reservation/dive PAID! In order to put your name on the list, we'll need to tell others that slot/space is full. Yes, we will try to get someone else on the charter if you need to cancel, but this reservation means you have paid for the dive; period! The captain will make the determination as to whether or not the boat will leave the dock on the morning of the charter. If the weather is looking bad, we will try our best to call you with as much notice as possible.

Reservations are made by full pre-payment that is non refundable. If you cancel your reservation you forfeit the full payment. If our captain cancels the trip, we issue a full refund. Cancellations by our Captain are made on the day of the charter, one hour before sailing time . We cannot guarantee dive sites, alternate dive site selection does not constitute a cancellation or a refund. Our boats sail on time.

Certification/Experience/Equipment Requirements:

All divers will show proof of their highest attained level of diving education for all dives.

For dives east of Cape Cod, divers will need to be at least Advanced Diver Certified AND have at least 25 dives in New England waters, no matter what depth, PERIOD!

For all dives to 100' or deeper, divers will need to be Advanced Diver Certified and have redundancy of gas/air supply (pony, doubles, etc - Spare Air not OK). 130 cubic feet on each diver with at least 19 cubic feet in redundancy (Pony tank or doubles with Isolation valve).

All divers will be required to have a Safety Signaling Device (safety sausage), Sounding device (whistle), and an underwater checking device (brass clip, dive reel, etc.) for all dives! There will be loaner/rental kits for all divers who come unprepared.

Each diver taking lobsters will need to produce a current Lobster License from MA. Each lobster/scallop/crab/etc. will be at the discretion of the Captain/Divemaster as to whether it is legal and is OK to keep. There is no "boat license" for taking of lobsters or marine life. NO Spearfishing unless every diver is armed! No "Tiles" from the Port Hunter!

ALSO: We only have a small port-o-potty on board = PLEASE ADJUST ACCORDINGLY!

Remember: This is only a 25' boat with a large tank rack. Please consolidate gear as much as we can to accommodate everyone's gear. Soft sided bags/small totes are best. Thank you.

Several of the reasons that there hasn't been a charter are some of the same reasons we'll give to divers that you must be an Advanced/VERY Experienced Diver in order to dive Monomoy. Strong currents (and we're not drift diving), Heavy Fog (excellent navigation skills are required to dive these wrecks=a wreck reel is preferred), Big critters (lobsters, whales, seals, basking and other kinds of sharks), etc.
I find it very difficult to describe the amazing dives off Monomoy and in the same breath have to nearly talk everyone out of the dives because of the advanced nature of them.
To get on some of these style dives, just come out with us on some of our other dives, we'll evaluate your skill level, and then decide whether you need more experience or are ready to tackle dives off Chatham, MA.
Hope to see you out there next season!
