advanced open water diver course

NIGHT * DEEP * NAVIGATION * BOAT

Scuba Schools International's Advanced Open Water Diver rating stands alone as the industry's highest combination of diving knowledge and experience. No other agency's rating compares. With other agencies, the diver must only have completed 9 open water dives along with the academics to acheive the advanced level. With SSI's rating, you may take as many specialties as you wish (four is most common), but the Advanced Diver rating does not get approved until you have conducted a total of 24 dives.

The Dive Locker has put these specialty courses together because we feel they are the most common styles of today's divers. There are many other specialties available to the diver, and most of them can contribute to the Advanced Diver program that SSI and The Dive Locker provides. But these are the ones that build the most confidence in the diver.

Cost: $250.00
(This includes the Student Kit w/Manuals, All tuition, and C-Card)
Rental Gear for entire course: $75.00 (Doesn't include lights)
** Dive Locker Special ** If you are a former student - No Rental Gear Fees for the entire weekend of diving!

Charter Fee: $110.00 if dives are to the Nauset Barges and $95 if to Endicott

schedule

The course materials need to be purchased at least one week prior to the start of the course. Homework needs to be completed before the Thursday night classroom session and exams. On Friday night we will conduct night dives at Hathaway Pond along with some basic navigation skills. Saturday morning we head to the Wood's Hole dive site of Garbage Beach to hone the navigation and limited visibility skills. We'll wrap up the course on Sunday morning off the charter boat, Cape Diver. The 4 specialties will generate 6 dives (2-Navigation, 2-Night/Limited Visibility, 2-Deep Dives from a charter boat).
